David Goldstein, McClatchy

1. The Contra Costa Times NEVER put any story about liberal unions and organizations like SEIU and ACORN protested or hung President Bush in effigy during their anti-war protests. And they never mentioned the death threats against Republican representatives.

2. Typical liberal angle in this story, focus on the very few angry older Americans that are rude rather than focus on WHY so many older Americans are ANGRY at the prospect of ObamaCare. Here’s a picture of a couple of these dangerous protesters.

See more photos and get a first hand update from someone there (as opposed to a McClatchy reporter spewing Democratic talking points).

3. Goldstein quotes FactCheck.org to show that the concerns of these protesters is wrong regarding the fear they have that ObamaCare will force them to lose their own insurance even if they’re happy with it.  Unfortunately, we couldn’t find that in FactCheck’s web site, but we do know that page 16 of the bill clearly states that insurance companies will not be allowed to offer new plans to clients once the client drops their existing insurance. This would force the insurance buyer to buy a government controlled plan which may not be to their liking. Read here for clarification.

4. Goldstein mentions that 6 people were arrested in St. Louis at a forum held by Dem Rep. Russ Carnahan. He did NOT mention that 5 of the 6 were SEIU suppoters of ObamaCare (the other a reporter).

Here’s the bottom line: Why are so many people so upset? We’ll never find out reading the liberal Contra Costa Times.
