6 days straight! (8/30/09, all over CCTimes)

6 straight days of front page coverage on the death of the cowardly socialist from Massachusetts. California’s own former governor and former president of the USA, Ronald Reagan, didn’t get this level of coverage from the liberal Contra Costa Times.
Shameful.
PS: It’s easy to be a hero of the poor when you take use other people’s money [...]

California lawmakers boost staff pay (8/18/09, page A7)

Juliet Williams, AP
Outstanding story by Juliet, but why did the liberal Contra Costa Times hide it on page A7?
The only way voters will get angry enough to kick out the union-dominated incumbents is if newspapers like CCTimes publish these stories on the front page and get voters talking about how corrupt politicians are. BTW, these [...]

Hundreds rally against refinery (8/16/09, page AA7)

Doug Jastrow, CCTimes
When does 200 equal “hundreds?” When it’s reported by the liberal Contra Costa Times.
So a small group of people tie up traffic in protest of the biggest employer and taxpayer of the City of Richmond actually trying to produce more cleaner burning gasoline so that these protestors can get to work and buy cheaper [...]

Oil firms recruit employees, retirees for climate rallies (8/16/09, page AA5)

David A. Fahrenthold, Washington Post
So when Greenpeace and MoveOn.org and AARP and ACORN and SEIU call on their members to rally and protest some issue, it’s free speech. When a corporation calls on it’s employees and retirees to VOLUNTARILY attend rallies opposing Global Warming legislation that would be detrimental to these same employees and retirees, it’s manufactured.
Only [...]

CCTimes pushes Obama agenda (8/15/09, all over the CCTimes)

Front Page: “Deep pockets backing dissenters,” Margaret Talev, McClatchy
Editorial: “What health care reform means for you,” George Miller, Democratic Congressman (too chicken to host townhall)
Editorial: “Debate is too important, get facts,” Dr. William Walker, Contra Costa Health Services Director
Page A13: “GOP backs away from end-of-life counseling,” Ben Evans, AP
Page AA1: “Obama, sleeves up, states case,” [...]

Obama team plants question (8/14/09, not in CCTimes)

At President Government’s town hall meeting on Tuesday a child asked the president a softball question. No problem with the softball. BIG problem with who the child was at this so-called town hall meeting.
Turns out she’s the daughter of an early Obama supporter and donor.
Remember the coverage Joe the Plumber got for asking his question, [...]

Rich not spending, thanks Mr. President (8/13/09, not in CCTimes)

Some things are too difficult for poorly educated journalists to understand, but Dan Kennedy from TownHall.com simplifies it nicely:
I was recently thinking about replacing my Ford Explorer with a new SUV, at minimum a new Explorer, but perhaps a Lincoln Navigator or Cadillac Escalade. The day Obama first trumpeted the proposed 5.4 percent tax surcharge [...]
